On Wednesday, September 20, School-Based Police officers attended the Family and Community Place Yarrabilba and delivered education around road safety and scooters.
Volunteers from the audience helped police to work through a scenario explaining the importance of safety.
Police provided the parents with some tips and tricks for their children, and they also provided tips and tricks for parents to give their children the tools and knowledge to protect them as best they can.
Participants then showed their skills and speed on a course designed by the centre demonstrating the safety tips they had just learnt.
Parents provided feedback that the session resolved some arguments at home about E-scooters, helmets, and all things in between.
It was an informative and fun day learning and practicing safety.
Remember, everyone has a role in keeping our roads safe.
