Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg at Marsden this morning.

Just after 7am, officers were called to an address at Avalon Court with a report of a man shot in the thigh.

Emergency services attended the scene, but the victim had driven from the scene in his vehicle.

A crime-scene was declared, and investigations continued to locate the victim.

Just before 10am, a 40-year-old Marsden man presented to a local hospital suffering a gunshot wound to his right leg. He is now receiving treatment.

Investigations continue.
