Starting in 2009 and roasting beans in his home garage, Giuseppe Anapo, or Joe as he is known, loves coffee and making the perfect blend for any time of the day.
The home garage quickly became too small for all the roasting Joe was doing and so he moved his equipment to a 50sq metre building in Underwood. The growth of his coffee was due to the City of Logan having no coffee roaster and the quality of what he was making.
For family reasons, Joe had to take a break from his passion for several years but when he came back it was bigger and better than ever.
With 40 years’ experience in the hospitality industry across numerous areas, Joe took his business to their current location, 10-14 Compton Rd, Woodridge, and began to shine again.
Simply Beans has grown into a one stop coffee house, with a buzzing Espresso Bar, Retail Shop, and selected wholesale clients from all around Logan and Australia.
When the chambers of commerce in Logan restarted the Logan Business Distinction Awards in 2018, Simply Beans took out the Retail Award. They did it again in 2019 as the business continued to grow.
With a hiatus of the awards in 2020 due to COVID, Simply Beans came back strong in 2021 with another win, this time the category of Hospitality.
The business not only makes top quality coffee, but they have for sale a variety of home and commercial coffee machines, coffee accessories, offer barista training and have a tasty selection of food.
Simply Beans take pride in blending and roasting coffee with passion and precision and all their customers are important to them, from large cafes to the home barista, to the one-off buyer of a cup of coffee.
This commitment proves they are well deserving of all their awards.
