Police have charged a 23-year-old man after allegedly locating cannabis, drug-utensils and cash at a Yarrabilba home on Thursday May 6.

Around 9:00am, officers from Logan Village Yarrabilba Police Station attended the address for an unrelated inquiry, when they smelt the odour of cannabis emanating from the dwelling.

The officers then conducted an emergent search of the dwelling where they allegedly uncovered approximately 170 grams of cannabis, pipes, electric scales, electric grinder, mobile phone, cash and other utensils.

A 23-year-old Yarrabilba man was arrested at the scene and subsequently charged with one count each of supplying dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possessing utensils and possessing property suspected of being the proceeds of crime.

He is scheduled to appear at the Beaudesert Magistrates Court on Tuesday June 8.
