Halloween might be a couple of days away but that didn’t stop the kids and families from heading down to Ewing Park for a ride on the Spooky Express.

The Logan Model Engineering Society Inc. held their first night run for the year and used it to celebrate the spooky event.

Kids were dressed up in all kinds of costumes, from scary ghosts and skeletons to princesses and superheroes.

The event ran for four hours with the train full and not stopping for almost the entire night.

Every child that took a ride received a party bag with lollies and other goodies supplied by AMG Pest Management and Mission Possible.

There was also a guess the jellybean game with no one making a perfect guess, but plenty were way too high, with this game proudly supplied by AMG Pet Management.

“There were plenty of families at the park having fun,” said Cr Teresa Lane.

“This group is absolutely amazing, and they are here every second and fourth Sunday and just do everything they do for the community.

“We’ve had trade ministers and the federal treasurer on this train, and this is the choo choo train to success if I’ve ever seen a good train.

“It was a great night by the community for the community but the faces of the people on the train was absolutely fabulous.”

The Logan Model Engineering Society Inc. is run by volunteers and each ride of just $3 helps keep the club running.
