A Springwood man has jumped out of bed over the weekend and rushed to his wife’s side to deliver the incredible news that he’d ‘won Saturday Gold Lotto’ and had bagged more than $1.2 million.

The Logan man held one of the four division one winning entries in Saturday Gold Lotto on Saturday 13 January 2024. Each division one winning entry pocketed $1,260,010.08.

“My weekend was turned on its head when I discovered this mate, how good!” he laughed when Goldan Casket called to confirm his windfall.

“We’ve barely slept since we discovered the win. A couple of hours here and there, but the adrenaline is just coursing through my veins.

“I’ll normally check the results when I wake up in the morning.

“My wife was doing some weeding in the garden and the expression on her face when she saw me barrelling towards her was pure shock.

“I said, ‘give me a hug, I think I just won Saturday Gold Lotto’.

“We’ve popped the champagne and celebrated already, but I’m sure there’ll be more to come.

“It’ll set us up for the rest of our lives and we’re so grateful.”

The winning marked System 8 entry was purchased at Arndale News, Shop 52 Arndale Shopping Centre, Cinderella Drive, Springwood.

The Arndale News team said they were over the moon to have sold a division one winning entry so early in the year and wished their winner all the best for the future.

In a second for Logan, another Logan resident has been one of two division one winners of Wednesday night, 17 January 2024, lottery.

Both division one winning entries pocketed $1,000,000 each.
