A different kind of sport will take over the Logan Metro Sports & Events Centre on November 22 as competitors in the Queensland DanceSport Sunshine State Cup take to the floor.

DanceSport is a unique competitive field based on the notion that “anyone can dance,” regardless of age or ability.

The discipline actively promotes family participation, social interaction and the building of community relationships through dance and physical activity.

It is the first time the DanceSport Sunshine State Cup has been held in the City of Logan, with competitors travelling from Rockhampton, Mackay, Cairns and the Gold and Sunshine Coasts.

Three different sessions will be run on the day, including the Masters competition for those over 35, as well as the Adult and Under 16 competitions.

Entry to the event will be free of charge for spectators, thanks to support from Logan City Council.

A COVIDSafe Plan will be in place at the event.
