Two Queensland Police Service officers currently suspended following an investigation into the possession and supply of dangerous drugs have been charged.
A 28-year-old male senior constable from South Eastern Region has been issued a notice to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on October 26 for offences of supplying dangerous drugs, possessing dangerous drugs, possess things, possessing suspected property and permitting use of place.
A 29-year-old male senior constable from Central Region will also appear in Southport Magistrates Court on October 26 charged with possessing dangerous drugs.
The officers were subject of an investigation in relation to Operation Sierra Edgehill which commenced in March this year by the Ethical Standards Command with support from the Organised Crime Gangs Group and the Gold Coast Police District in relation to the alleged trafficking of dangerous drugs.
This does not mean the allegations against the officers have been substantiated.
