This month I ventured to a new café that has recently opened in our beautiful city. Preece’s Coffee Drive Thru. They have taken over the premises that Stellarossa vacated (149 George Street Beenleigh) across the road from Beenleigh Market Place.

Preece’s opened in August 2021 which was a very risky thing to do in these uncertain times. What I found during my visit put my apprehensions to rest. The place was energetic with locals enjoying the new settings, plus the drive through was constantly severing delicious food and coffee to people on the go.

This is the third Preece’s to open but the only one in Logan. You will find the two other cafés at Shorncliffe and Redcliffe. The menu is slightly different to other places, but they do have a good variety for all palates.

Some of their scrumptious savouries are things like, bacon and egg bagel with kasundi and mayo, vegan wrap, spinach tahini Verde, sun dried tomatoes and tzatziki and my husband’s favourite, slow roasted lamb with feta.

When I checked out the menu, I had no idea of some of the ingredients but what I did have tasted good. If you are not in the mood for saviour with your coffee maybe something sweet is more your style.

This will cause another problem as I soon discovered. The selection is very impressive. The various cheesecakes, slices, muffins, banana bread, croissants and chocolate brownies made my decision very hard. I decided to have the vanilla slice with my coffee which was a great choice and so yummy. Everything is handmade daily, so you know it is fresh.

I haven’t even spoken about the coffee which is very remiss of me. All my regular readers know that I love my coffee. It must taste good and be hot very hot. They passed the test as my coffee was just the way I like it and I loved the taste.

Preece’s have their own signature of coffee which they developed in conjunction with The Coffee Commune giving them a perfect blend. They have accomplished this in my humble opinion.

When you are next in Beenleigh give Preece’s a try. If you have time for a catch up with friends or just grab something from the drive thru, you will not be disappointed.

They are open 7 days a week Mon-Sat 5am – 4pm and Sunday 6am – 4pm. The staff are very friendly and helpful and local.
