With the seat of division five empty due to Cr Jon Raven being in the mayoral race, division five has become the second division to have three candidates in the race.

The latest candidate to announce is Zoe McDonnell who formally announced she will be contesting the local government election in March.

“As a Waterford West resident, I am a passionate and active member of our community and am deeply invested in the success and continued growth of our beautiful division five and wider Logan City region,” said Zoe McDonnell.

“I have admired Jon Raven’s dedication and achievements for our region, and I’m excited at the prospect of being a potential candidate to fill his boots.

“I look forward to getting a deeper understanding of what our community members want and need.”

Ms McDonnell has a Bachelor of Business, Sport Management and has worked in the membership departments for the Gold Coast Suns and Brisbane Lions.

Currently a sales support specialist for a multinational business and has done work in broadcast media and digital marketing.

When Zoe is not working or campaigning, she loves spending time with family, watching the footy and exploring new places by four-wheel drive.
