Have you ever wanted to have a nice quite breakfast or lunch on a Sunday? Somewhere that is not far too from home, with a good menu, pleasant atmosphere with no raucous?

If you jump in the car and on head over to Bayliss Road and the Heritage Park Shopping Centre you will find just that place. Café @ Bayliss is sitting there waiting for you and what a find it really is.

The young staff member behind the counter was just lovely with a big welcoming smile and so very helpful. We signed in and washed our hands as you must in these trying times, plus there were hand sanitisers on every table which is great to see.

As with every month I venture out, I always ask myself what I should have. The best way to see if it is a good café is to have the eggs benedict and at $15.50 I wasn’t going to pass them up. My husband went for the large vegetarian omelette at $16. What great prices.

When I drink my coffees I always ask for a very hot coffee and that is exactly what I received so big brownie points from me right at the start. We didn’t have to wait long for our meals and we made the right choice.

They were hot, very filling and delish. The chief/proprietor came over to our table for a chat, making us feel very welcome. I noticed he spoke to everyone the came into the café, not just the dinners, as they do takeaways also.

The café interior is a little quirky as it’s a cross between Chinese and Australian. The menu also has the same quirks, with items like boyfriends breakfast, love breakfast, bacon pancakes and grandma burgers.

The ceiling has some unusual decorations which I liked and it gave a really nice atmosphere. There are tables outside as well as in which is a nice choice. When outside the seats are a good distance from the road you are far enough away from the cars coming in and out.

If you are driving around in our great Logan City and want something to eat, swing into Café @ Bayliss.

Head over to their Facebook page and have a look. You never know you might just find your favourite cafe closer than you think.
