Chery Australia has confirmed specifications for its incoming TIGGO 8 Pro Max with the 7-seater launching in May.

This stylish and feature packed SUV is the next addition to the highly successful TIGGO family, which has sold over 3 million units in 80 different countries.

The TIGGO 8 Pro Max will arrive in three luxurious variants (Urban, Elite and Ultimate), offering an array of features that give the driver and passengers a first class experience.

The entry-level Urban is highly equipped coming with dual 12.3-inch screens, ambient lighting, air purifying system, plus heated and ventilated seats.

“We are excited to introduce the TIGGO 8 Pro Max to the market, representing the next evolution of Chery’s commitment to delivering outstanding vehicles,” said Lucas Harris, Managing Director, Chery Australia.

“The Chery TIGGO 8 Pro Max with its combination of luxury, performance, and advanced features we believe will provide drivers with excellent value and a truly extraordinary driving experience.”

All models come equipped with Chery’s most powerful petrol engine to date, a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit, producing 180kW @ 5500rpm and 375Nm @ 1750-4000 rpm.

The motor works in harmony with a sophisticated and smooth shifting 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, with the TIGGO 8 available in two- and all-wheel drive.

Power doesn’t come at the expense of efficiency as the Euro 6 engine has a combined fuel rating of 8.1L/100km and emits 191g/km of C02 (Urban and Elite 2WD).

The TIGGO 8 Pro Max makes a statement wherever it goes with Chery’s signature diamond point grille, muscular 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels, quad exhaust tips, plus bold LED head and tail-lights.

Eight distinct colours are also offered to further ensure there’s no mistaking the TIGGO for anything else on the road. This includes Lunar White, Star Silver, Rhine Blue, Loran Violet, Mercurial Grey, Technical Grey, Aurora Green and Space Black.

The TIGGO 8 Pro Max has a comprehensive list of active and passive safety features, including front, front side & centre, rear side, driver knee and side curtain airbags.

Moreover, the TIGGO 8 Pro Max is also equipped with advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) integrating 18 kinds of advanced driving assistance functions, including adaptive cruise control (ACC), autonomous emergency braking (AEB) and lane keeping assistance (LKA) to mention a few. All new to the Tiggo 8 Pro Max is a DVR driver view recorder (built-in dash cam) and fragrance system (Ultimate).
