Centre Place, 473 Underwood Road Rochedale is where you’ll find The Dale Espresso Bar and Café. This café is a Logan staple which has been operating for close to five years.
The Dale is not a large café but if cafés had hearts this one has the biggest. I don’t live close to the Dale otherwise I would likely go there every day for coffee and breakfast because I love their coffee, the great food and would spend a lot of my money there.
I love and enjoy coffee but usually stick to having a cappuccino or a flat white due to old habits. The Dale’s coffee menu looks enticing so I have decided to work my way through the selections; I think I’ll try a Piccolo latte next visit.
The coffee sold at the Dale is an organic PNG single origin that is ethically sourced and locally roasted. They also produce a cold-brew extraction that delivers a smooth non-acidic beverage. If coffee is not your thing, they also offer loose-leaf teas and Tisanes.
The food menu is extensive with a breakfast selection from a brekkie bagel to their big breakfast and omelettes for a more healthy option. On my last visit I tried the sweet corn fritters with tomato relish, avocado and a poached egg. I enjoyed it so much I’m going back soon to have it again.
If going for coffee and cake, the Dale also offers a wonderful selection of beautiful cakes that are displayed in their front case. I would recommend trying one, although the selection may be a difficult one.
I always enjoy a visit to the Dale and General Manager Kate Grimes and her well trained staff are helpful and very friendly. If you have an appreciation for great coffee and exceptional food, then a visit to the Dale won’t disappoint.
